I wrote the “When it doesn’t go right” blog in December last year . It’s quiet apt right now after my DNF on Sunday in Canberra.
Am I disappointed? Yes but life goes on, and I have some valuable lessons to put into action.
See, I have been putting something off for most of this year. Why have I done that? I don’t know, maybe FEAR of finding something you don’t want to find. But I owe it to my wife, my son, my family… I owe it you and I owe it to myself.
Something is not right since my incident earlier this year and for which I’ll get some tests done.
I read this today on twitter “What Ever Happens, take responsibility” – Tony Robins.
This may be a hard and bitter pill to swallow .. but it’s true.
Our life, our responsibility.
I can bet on one thing though. The weekends lesson, will make me a stronger athlete and person.
Here’s another post that you NEED to READ now.
“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place… and I don´t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently, if you let it. You, me or nobody, is gonna hit as hard as life. But ain’t about how hard you hit… It’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward… how much you can take, and keep moving forward. That´s how winning is done. Now, if you know what you worth, go out and get what you worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits. And not pointing fingers saying: You ain´t what you wanna be because of him or her or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain´t you! You´re better than that”
