The Weather forecasts for the Campbells Half Ironman in Shepparton yesterday were for thunderstorms and lots of wind. Thankfully this didn’t eventuate and Shepparton put on conditions that demanded a fast day.
TriSpecific athletes again found success with pro athlete Josh Rix having a great battle with Matty White and finishing 2nd, only a close 19 seconds behind in a smoking PB time of 3:49. Robert Forbes also posted a personal best of 4:53. Coach Kristian put his Half Ironman racing shoes back on and will post a blog to cement that low volume training can and does in deed work after posting a PB time of 4:13:04.
Thanks definitely go to the guys and girls at Shepparton Tri Club and namely Garry Leeds and Peter Guy for putting on a world class event.
