Recovery Methods to take your training and performances to the next level...To gain higher levels of health and performance and to take that next step in athletic success we as athletes need to follow basic principles in training and recovery. In training good technique is necessary for improved performance as it reduces energy costs and also the stress placed on the body. This results in prolonging the onset of fatigue, reduced injuries and faster recovery to facilitate better quality training. Effective recovery methods will reduce fatigue, help you quickly adapt to the physical and mental demands of training, reduce energy costs, stress placed upon the body, injuries, and will also facilitate better quality training. My goal as a coach is to provide you tools that can be used to greatly enhance your athletic success and minimise the chances of injuries.
Over the coming weeks I will be adding more and more recovery tools, tips and techniques to help you recover optimally from the training stimulus and thus enhance your performance. Like training, recovery practices followed with focus, dedication and a consistent approach will reap the greatest benefits of reducing the energy cost of movements, the stress placed upon the body, the likelihood of injuries and faster recovery times. I believe this guy summed it up the best.
