Consistency and Self Analysis

Athletes that excel do so because they put in the time and have consistency in their training.

Success in any aspect of our lives is the result of linking up thousands upon thousands of “one things” over time. Our current situation (health, fitness, performance, body composition, relationships, career, finances etc) is created from our decisions of the past. CHECK YOUR THOUGHTS!

Now what are your goals? Write them down and stick them up somewhere you can see them a lot... Read them aloud, visualise yourself having achieved your goal/s and feel the feeling of what it would be to achieve that goal... (do this for all your goals not just your fitness/performance ones). Remember the TriSpecific motto... Conceive it Believe it Achieve it. You must Believe it and then work it. “Faith without works (consistent action) is dead”.

The Challenge of self analysis

The best thing you can ever do is an analysis on yourself. When you note down for example the training session you completed and the data associated with that session including the fuel intake for that session and analyse it relative to how you feel (performance) and how your mind thinks (positively or negatively), this self analysis over a long period of time is an enormous self learning experience. Now you can and should do this with your training and your eating habits as well as anything else you would like to get better at.

Forming this habit is very powerful as YOU are the only person that can change YOU to become a BETTER YOU. Everything has a cause and effect relationship and when you have an in-depth analysis on yourself you are powerfully equipped to change the cause that is giving you your current effect.

I myself have many causes that I am working hard to know and change so I can create the desired effects, and the self analysis tool is a great way to do it. So go out and buy yourself a spiral bound note book or journal from Office works and start analysing what you do and how you feel relative to what you have done. One more point to mention... It takes time and it won’t happen overnight.
